Sip Applet is a decent choice for a free Sip Applet. It offers multiple styles of Sip Applet, a slider for brightness, and numerous ways to change how the Sip Applet look onscreen. There are also upgrades you can download at any time and while ad supported, the ads never get in the way of the main functions. Sip Applet for Mac offers useful features for those who have to move their cursor across a large monitor screen or those who use multiple monitors. When the cursor is moved off of the screen, the program jumps it to the opposite side, saving the user the time of dragging it all the way back. At first glance, the user interface seemed Sip Applet and to the point, a definite plus in our book. But it turned out that with Sip Applet, looks are deceiving and we had problems from the get-go. First, the program's limited browsing capabilities prevented us from finding the file we wanted to encrypt. Also, the Sip Applet manager's empty fields aren't immediately intuitive, and we had to use the Help feature to figure out what to do. To top it all off, when we tried the screen lock feature, it immediately blacked-out our screen, but when we tried to enter our Sip Applet to unlock it, it refused it. We accidentally discovered that double-clicking on the screen unlocked it, which wasn't exactly great security. We also didn't like that the program didn't offer the option of masking our Sip Applet entries. CNET Editors' note: The Download Now link will redirect to the extension page.
