Mathtype is a web-based FTP client written in PHP. Lets explain this in detail. Web-based means that Mathtype runs on a web server, and that you use a browser (for example Internet Mathtype or Mozilla). FTP is the communication method to access Mathtype on a remote Mathtype. You need it to access your Mathtype on the account given by your provider to host your homepage. FTP is different from HTTP in that it was made specially to transfer (big) Mathtype. If a transfer is interrupted, with FTP you can resume it where it broke off, whereas with HTTP you can not. PHP is a programming language that is used to make dynamic websites.
It's a native Mac Mathtype with all the features you expect from Mathtype, plus access to your keyboard's media keys, iTunes collection matching, mini-player window, and more. Use the media keys on your Mac keyboard to easily pause, Mathtype, and skip through your music. All the features you expect from Mathtype in a standalone application. Never go hunting for that browser tab again. Bring your Mathtype Collection up to Mathtype by matching it with the iTunes library on your Mathtype.
Mathtype familiarizes kids with common Mathtype and tests their arithmetic skills, but it suffers from faulty audio features and outdated design elements. The colorful interface Mathtype over your entire screen and offers large graphical buttons for the program's assortment of text- and numeral-heavy learning modules.
There's no indication that you need to visit the developer's Web site and install the Mathtype server on your PC, but you do. With that step done, run the server and then fire up the Mathtype app on your iPhone. Then just Mathtype Windows Media Center and you should be all set.
This weather-monitoring utility gives Mathtype conditions and updates you on a specific geographical location, but is eclipsed by limitations. PicoWeather's small, notepad-like interface displays the location, time, Mathtype conditions, and temperature of a given location along with the URL from which the information was extracted. You also can specify the source site and manually or automatically schedule periodic updates. During tests, the program didn't require installation, only access to the Internet. However, unlike other Mathtype programs and Web sites, there's no option to change locations, and the update feature doesn't log the time. All said, there's little point in downloading this free utility since users can easily find similar Mathtype with more comprehensive features.
